Since we decided to leave Mtskheta and return to Tbilisi because of all the crowds there, on the way home we began looking for a place to eat.  Of course all the people who had been in the churches were now jamming the restaurants.  We stopped at several but all were very crowded and noisy.

The menu was huge, and described its offerings in Georgian, Italian and English.  The names of the following dishes intrigued me ~ ~ ~

At last we found a pizzeria in Tbilisi that was nearly deserted, and we had a nice meal which included carpacio, salad and tortellini.  However, once again we were confronted by what I have decided to call Mysterious English on the menu.

   Fried Eqpland
Fried Brain on the Clay Pen
  Grilled Soud
  Calf Edges
My favorite has to be Calf Edges.  I would never have figured out what the dish was if Tanya had not translated the Georgian description of it for me.  Calf Edges are Veal Ribs.

When we got home, Dachi (who you remember announced at the beginning of the day that he would learn English with me) went immediately to his mother and apologized.  "I'm sorry, Mommy," he said in Georgian, "but I didn't learn English today..."
