Jubilee Concert

Home Georgian Trip Blog - Sept.-Dec. 2007 Jubilee Concert Search   8 October,2007 By: Pat Taniashvili         Jubilee Concert at the Conservatory       Sunday evening Tanya and I were invited by Irina Jorjadze to a concert at the Conservatory.  This performance was the first in a series of concerts given in celebration of the Conservatory’s Jubilee, and tickets were not easy to get.                      This was an all-Mozart evening, featuring the student orchestra of the Conservatory and the famous Georgian pianist  Eliso Virsaladze.  Her performance was flawless, and the student musicians who accompanied her were excellent as well.                              Grand Hall of the Conservatory                   This huge crystal chandelier graces the ceiling of the Hall.              This photo, taken with a mobile phone, shows the standing room only crowd in the Grand Hall of the Conservatory.                      Top of Page
