Ellsworth High School Jazz Program to Compete at Disney - Fundraiser

       The Colin Graebert Jazz Trio will be performing Friday, January 29th at 7 p.m. to benefit the Ellsworth High School Jazz program trip to attend the Festival Disney national competition.  The trio includes Colin Graebert on piano, Chris Viner on drums, Gaylen Smith on bass, as well as various guest artists, and are well known thoughout the greater Bangor and Downeast music scene.  The concert will feature both high school and local performers as vocalists and instrumentalists.  100% of the proceeds will contribute to the travel costs for the jazz band, jazz choir, and the two time national competition winning show choir.  Tickets will be $7 at the door at the Ellsworth High School Auditorium.

Congratulations to Jennifer Guildford who has been chosen to participate in the 2010 Maine All-State Chorus to be held at the University of Maine in May.  Jennifer auditioned and was chosen from hundreds of students across the state to be a member of this group.  She is a Senior at Ellsworth High School and is a member of the Show Choir, Jazz Choir, Symphonic Band and currently serves as the President of the Tri-M Music Honor Society.  Jenny is the daughter of Leigh and Kerry Guildford of Ellsworth and Joan Higgins of Glenburn.
