Welcome to the AP Art page at
Ellsworth High School!
Course Description:
The Advanced Placement Program provides art students with the opportunity to pursue college-level art studio studies while still in secondary school. Students will assemble a drawing, two dimensional design or three dimensional design portfolio to be submitted to the Educational Testing Service for evaluation and possible college credit. The ETS uses a rubric scale of 1 (low) to 5 (high) for evaluation, and any student receiving a 3 or better will receive 3 college credits. Students in this course will work independently and be responsible for their own portfolio selection and development.
